The Kenton Research analogue signalling converter ASC300 provides conversion of a single circuit from gen-gen (magneto) signalling to SSAC15A or manual 2280Hz signalling or to 2-wire audio plus E & M with manual or SSDC5A signalling. The unit can also convert from SSAC15A or manual 2280Hz signalling to SSDC5A or manual E & M signalling with 2-wire or 4-wire audio. The converter features simple installation and setup with a multicoder for major configuration settings and single links for other options. An internal overload protected source of ring current is incorporated and the unit is fitted with dc input current limiting. The ASC300 E & M leads physically interface to UK SSDC5A equipment and they can be link configured to operate with North American type 1 and type 2 standards. The ASC300RM is a plug in 48V dc powered extended eurocard module for mounting in the 19 inch mounting shelf 12E7K or equivalent BABT approved enclosure. The ASC300SA is a wall mounted unit mains powered from the supplied PU246D plug top power supply.
