Dension Broadband

Providing the broadband internet access (> 1 Mb) is an elementary infrastructure request these days in the developed countries. At the same time – due to the demographic density – 5-10% of the population lives so far from the telephone exchange that the regular ADSL-based services cannot be realized for them.

There is demand for alternative solution which can be integrated to the fixed line telecom networks and is able to provide internet access over 1 Mb downstream bandwidth even to 15 km long distances.

Realizing this demand the Dension Group founded a brand new company in June 2009 under the name of Dension Broadband Systems Kft. (DBS).

Dension Broadband purchased the product rights of the digital transmission equipment developed by 77 Elektronika Kft. The portfolio includes the earlier pair gain systems (PCM 2-4-8-12) as well, but the highest priority is on the recently developed broadband enabling technology products, named as ADSL Extender (AE).

In addition, DBS can deliver the traditional PCM 2-4-8-12 systems to the telecom service providers in the future where this demand is still alive.

We are sure that in DBS we will be able to combine the high-level manufacturing technology with the latest developments and will be a strong and stable vendor fulfilling the future telecom and internet challenges.

The Kenton Group continue to work with Dension Broadband, following on from our relationship with 77 Elektronika. With several projects and contracts in the pipeline, we hope this relationship will be a successful one.
