The VoiceXtender allows simple telephones located at remote sites to be connected through the LAN/WAN computer network to a telephone system at the main site. Alternatively it can be used for point-to-point or hot wire working.

VoiceXtender Application

VoiceXtender gives free telephone conversations between sites that are connected with an existing wide area computer network. The VoiceXtender is a device that allows simple telephones located at a remote site to be connected through the existing lan/wan computer network infrastructure to a telephone system at the main site.

At the distant site two simple telephones connect to the remote VoiceXtender converter which connects through the local lan, via the inter-site wan connection to the lan at the main site where the host VoiceXtender is attached. This in turn connects to two extension telephone (POTS) ports of the host telephone system
