

The LAN Phone is a fully featured IP-based telephone for Office/SOHO telephony via Ethernet based communications. Over an office LAN connection it provides IP-PBX solutions such as station-to-station calling, IP calls and local PSTN/PBX extension calls via a PSTN Gateway. The traditional PABX functionality is provided with H.450 features together with a Gatekeeper or IP/PBX Call Manager. Two 10/100BaseT ports (RJ-45) with embedded switch/hub allow connection to both the office LAN and users PCs. It is easily interfaced with ADSL/Cable Modem services from ISPs or carrier companies to provide VoIP services to residential and SOHO users. Integrated Analogue Phone features provide IP call or PSTN call selection and Plain Old Telephone (POT) device when external power fails. The LAN Phone has programmable keys and feature buttons for, HOLD, FORWARD, TRANSFER functions and integral high-quality speaker with microphone mute for hands free. The status of the phone is displayed on the two line 24 character LCD display. The display provides features such as date and time, calling party name, calling party number, and number dialled. An LED associated with each feature key and line button provides status indication. Local and remote configuration is accessed either by the key pad and LCD display or using a Telnet Session. Management software and firmware downloads can be upgraded remotely from a central site. Application notes are available for IP/Gatekeeper addressing setting, dial plan, voice codec setting, Gatekeeper, Peer to Peer mode selection, QoS and call progress tone setting. |
