NEW PRODUCT Integrated Access Devices delivers voice over broadband solutions for SOHO/SME markets Now available in the UK from Microtel, the Dataflex Vine Series of Integrated Access Devices (IADs) delivers full-functionality, low-cost voice-over-broadband solutions for the SOHO and SME markets. The new devices can be deployed in either a VoATM or VoIP Network with seamless migration between the two networks via remote upgrade. The modular design satisfies a broad range of VoIP access requirements to deliver ADSL/SHDSL based SOHO/SME customer solutions using either MGCP or SIP, with quality of service (QoS) parameters supported. Integrated firewall and NAT functionality deliver improved local and network security. The Vine Series provides a business-class router that can be dropped into any new or existing end-user infrastructure. By also providing an integrated stateful inspection firewall, the IAD adds a new layer of hardware-based protection to the end-user needing peace of mind. The Vine Series of IADs are pre-configured to a standard customer profile. By effective use of embedded technologies in conjunction with an element management system, customisation to specific user requirements can be managed centrally, during installation, or by the end-user through restricted web-based access. The Vine series of VoIP IADs interoperates with all major DSLAMs, soft switches and media gateways to ensure guaranteed connectivity throughout the network. There are various configurations of products within the Vine Series, allowing scalable solutions to be realised for different types of user.
